Liyolatha Tubeni

Liyolatha believes every conversation has the potential to change how we see ourselves and others. Drawn to people, stories and human connection, she brings curiosity, warmth and a natural ability to make people feel valued and understood.

A UCT gradutate, she completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology and Linguistics on the Dean’s Merit List and is currently pursuing her Honours in Linguistics, exploring the relationship between language, identity and society.

Alongside her studies, Liyolatha works at UCT’s Office of Inclusivity & Change and in student-facing administration, building connections across diverse communities. She also facilitates debates for high school learners in under-resourced schools, helping young people think critically, express themselves confidently and find their voice. As a tournament coordinator, she supports these initiatives across schools.

Passionate about culture, media and social impact, Liyolatha joins Colour-Full with a belief that meaningful change begins with conversation, curiosity and our shared humanity.
